Paradise Computing

Fund Raising THE SKY’S THE LIMIT
Watersheds, the corporate finance specialists, is pleased to confirm the successful completion of a deal to raise investment capital for Paradise Computing; an IT services and training company.

Paradise needed additional funding to expand their current facilities, as the company was turning down lucrative business opportunities due to a lack of resources. Jonathon Berg, Paradise’s Managing Director, approached Watersheds by way of a recommendation and work began without delay. It was immediately apparent that with traditional forms of lending still being restricted, another source of finance was going to be necessary. Using their considerable network of contacts, Watersheds was pleased to be able to introduce a private investor who shared Jonathon’s vision of the untapped potential of the company.

Paradise is a leading supplier of Sage software, and has pioneered techniques to deliver this as a cloud-based accounting solution that can be accessed by users from anywhere. Recognised by Sage, and recently awarded Sage Strategic Partner status, Paradise believes this service places them 18 months ahead of their competitors. The company also has excellent classroom facilities in the tranquillity of the countryside, close to the Althorp Estate where they offer training courses for technical and professional development.

Richard Buzzoni, Director at Watersheds, commented: “This is a great business based in Northamptonshire that was struggling to operate. Although Paradise has excellent staff and facilities, the management needed working capital to expand the business. We are in contact with a network of individuals who have experience in a variety of sectors and are looking to re-invest in exciting new opportunities.”

Following completion of the sale Jonathon Berg commented: “Watersheds put a lot of effort into finding the right investor for us. To find someone who is aligned with our company strategy meant they had to understand our personal, as well as our corporate goals. Watersheds worked with me to first understand and then select from the options they identified. Now the investment is secured, I am excited about unlocking the true potential of Paradise and exploiting the opportunities in the Sage, Cloud and Training markets.”

Legal advice was given by Mr David Bacon at Borneo Hughes Martell.
