Finding the right opportunity
Most business sales in the SME market are never advertised. Since our formation in 1998 we have been talking to people who want to sell their business. We use this knowledge to put clients in touch with good relevant opportunities.

Structuring and negotiating the right deal
We are a team of experienced Corporate Finance professionals who spend all of their time negotiating, structuring and managing deals. We like to lead transactions, in order to minimise the impact on our clients and allow them to maintain their relationship with the vendor, with whom they may need to work closely after the transaction is complete.

But completing the transaction is not enough. These deals are about making money. The price and structure agreed with the vendor is critical as is the method by which the deal is funded. We will help with both. Our style is to maximise our client’s equity percentage by reducing the need for outside equity funding wherever possible.

You will need to invest some cash, £150,000 to £350,000, perhaps more. Watersheds can raise the rest of the money. How much to invest is a key decision. On the one hand you do not want to take any more financial risk than necessary. On the other hand you need to invest enough to allow the transaction to happen. It is an important judgement that we will help you make.
